Northeast Middle School Academic Pentathlon Team to compete in national competition
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Northeast Middle School Academic Pentathlon Team will travel to Arizona this week to compete in the United States Academic Pentathlon National Competition.
The school has had strong academic pentathlon teams since 2014 and is continuing the trend.
This year, the team scored well in regionals and proved themselves at the state level, winning the 8th grade division. They are also ranked second in the nation.
The team competes in five disciples of academics during the competition including literature, mathematics, fine arts, science and social studies.
