Arrested woman faces more charges after providing meth to inmates

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — An arrested woman is facing additional charges after providing meth to other inmates.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, the Stephanie Bolin was originally taken into custody Tuesday at the scene of a drug bust with multiple arrests in Gibson County.

The Drug Task Force says during the booking process at the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department, an officer noticed an abnormality on X-ray, and further investigation revealed Bolin had an object “secreted inside of her body.”

The task force says that Bolin was placed in an observatory cell, where she passed meth along to two other inmates who were in the cell awaiting court.

According to the Drug Task Force, Bolin was transported to medical where she “surrendered the object.”

The task force confirms additional charges will be brought forth for possession and delivery of meth and introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
