30 JMCSS students recognized for outstanding ACT scores

JACKSON, Tenn. — 30 students excel in the best way, and receive recognition from JMCSS Superintendent, Dr. Marlon King, for scoring above average on the ACT.

This particular group of students achieved a composite of 30 or higher and were presented gifts and awards for their accomplishments.

These students are a part of the ACT 30 Plus Club in the Jackson-Madison county school district.

This prestigious luncheon recognizes them for all the hard work they put in over the course of their high school career.

“So today is the superintendent’s ACT 30 Plus Club. So, Dr. King started this, um, when he– when he came in as our superintendent and so any student that– that scores 30 or higher joins this 30 Plus Club,” said Melissa Spurgeon, Chief of Staff.

Dr. King presents them a black card, which is a special all-access card they can use until they are 21 to get into all athletic, art, and academic events for free.

With this card they also have the opportunity to have some of their school fees waived.
