Hub City Speed’s autocross event returns to the dragway
JACKSON, Tenn.—Racers hit the course to see who is the fastest.
Today, the Hub City Speed autocross event returned to the Jackson Dragway located at 79 Ranger Road.
The event offers individuals the opportunity to test their driving skills on a specialized course.
The course is open to all ages, and experience levels, as long as drivers have a valid license.
The racer’s vehicle must also be in good working order and pass safety guidelines to run the course.
During the competition, participants don’t race against one another but against the clock instead.
The event cost drivers $20 to participate and spectators can enter for $5.
“I think this a great starting place for a young person who wants to drive on track or race someday. They can get good experience here that’s very cheap to get into. There’s people that are very knowledgeable out here, who can help them learn and get better at pushing their car to the limit,” said Luke Presley, Vice President, Hub City Speed.
The next autocross event will be held on June 16.
