Crowds gather at Beech Lake for Memorial Day celebrations

LEXINGOTN, Tenn. — Following last night’s storms, residents of Lexington found their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

It wouldn’t be Memorial Day without a trip to Beech Lake for some Lexington residents.

A few lake lovers share their favorite part of coming out.

“I like the grilling out and swimming and making new friends and stuff,” said Angel, Beech Lake goer.

“I like swimming and like meeting new people,” said Ella, Beech Lake goer.

Families were out grilling and enjoying the company of one another.

Some were seen playing volleyball or soccer.

While others were protecting their skin with sunscreen.

Some residents have a reminder for their fellow lake goers.

“Come to Beech Lake. And make sure to clean up after yourselves,” said a Beech Lake goer.

Another resident leaves a reminder to be safe.

“Be safe swimming. Because a lot of people lost their lives here. So be careful swimming,” said Madison, Beech Lake goer.

We hope that your family has a safe and fun Memorial Day.
