Jackson Rockabillys prepare for opening night game

JACKSON, Tenn. —  The Jackson Rockabillys are getting ready for the first game of the season so it’s up to you to get those seats, and your popcorn of course.

It’s almost opening night at the Rockabillys stadium and today, May 27, they’re showing us just how they’re preparing for the big game day.

The only one way to make sure you play well is to practice accordingly and that’s just what the Jackson Rockabillys have in mind as they prepare to go head-to-head with their opponent, Full Country Rhythm, from Hendersonville.

Tuesday night’s game will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. for the first start of the season.

“These guys are from 17 different universities around the country. California, Texas, Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, Ohio, Florida. This is a workout to get used to lights, to get used to each other– for the manager to judge them and, So, that’s what’s going on right now,” said Dennis Bastien, Rockabillys CEO.

It’s time for each player to show their strengths on the field and the passion they have for the game.

“Just something I love to do. My brother played and I always grew up at the baseball field and it’s just– So yeah you’ve got a great group of guys and we’re all just ready to play,” said Julian Jinpnez, Rockabillys outfielder.

They’re looking forward to home runs and that sounds like the game plan. Jinpnez tells us it’s not a moment you want to miss.

“You better pack the place because we’re gonna be rocking,” said Jinpnez.

The Jackson Rockabillys take the field tomorrow night at 7 p.m. and there’s still time to catch a front row seat.
