An annual golfing match honoring the life of a junior golfer returns to the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.– One family honors their son on the green in a unique and special way.
It’s the Tommy Talkington Cup.
In loving memory of their son Tommy, who tragically died at the peak of his junior golf career.
The Talkington family honors the top six junior golfers, three girls, and three boys , each year during the annual Jackson-Madison County Championship, held in June.
This event intends to preserve Tommy’s love for the game of golf and his desire to teach younger golfers to enjoy the game as much as he did.
His family say Tommy was a beloved son, brother, and best friend, who always had a club in his hand and a smile on his face.
