Washington Douglass Head Start holds end of year celebration
JACKSON, Tenn. — Washington Douglass Head Start celebrated a big milestone for their students Friday morning.
It is the end of the year and for some students, and they’re heading off to Pre-k or Kindergarten next year.
Many of the students were excited, the teachers were excited, and many family members of students gathered together to recognize the end of the school year.
“It’s just an exciting time,” said center manager Jerry Woods. “We have parents, grandparents, and all of the supporters here this morning to support our children.”
Next year is a big year for Washington Douglass, as it marks 60 years of their head start program.
