Crime Stoppers raise thousands during annual golf tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. — Crime Stoppers held their annual golf tournament today.

The public event was hosted at the Jackson National Golf Club.

Boss Ross BBQ donated all the food and other sponsors included Victory Honda, Sheriffs’ Association and City of Jackson.

29 teams played today and multiple prizes were given out.

The funds go to support 731 Crime Stoppers which is a resource for individuals to remain anonymous while helping solve and prevent crime.

“The first time we started this tournament 31 years ago we made eight hundred dollars. Now, we’ll make over 20 thousand,” said Mike Johnson, event organizer.

Johnson shares that, in addition to raising money, the event is always lots of fun.
