Jackson band Music By Kota returns with new music

The highly anticipated second EP to release in the series of three from hometown stars

Jackson, TN, May 31, 2024 — Jackson and New York City-based record label No Reverse Records announce the release of Music by KOTA‘s Fever – Wave Two, the second EP in a series of three that continues to follow the story of the “Bomb Shelter Kid”. Wave Two will be released May 31st on No Reverse Records. Recorded in their hometown of Jackson, TN, Fever – Wave Two features five original songs. Their first EP in the series, Nuclear – Wave One, debuted in the Top 10 on the US iTunes Alternative charts. 

This record waits for no one with the band’s authentic rock and roll sound, this time bolder than before with multiple part tracks, created on-site and in-studio written fully as a team of five. The experience of Fever-Wave Two is highly anticipated following the success of their first EP in the series resulting in exciting live shows, music videos and festival appearances. The band’s 360 creativity & visual approach allows the listener to follow the Bomb Shelter Kid in their post-apocalyptic world. Building to the release the band previewed three singles, “Bonfire Dance”, “The Gun I” and “Naked Eye”. 

Producer, Mixing Engineer, and Drummer Bryton Wallace shares, “Wave two was an outlet for us. We had lots of ideas we wanted to get out and we didn’t want to go overthink it. We just played. We were as genuine as we could be and that readied us for the making of wave three which is a side no one has seen before and we’re very excited about it.” 

The record was produced & mixed by Bryton Wallace and mastered by multi-Grammy-winning engineer Oscar Zambrano of Zampol Productions (Harry Styles, Sting, Arcade Fire). It was Co-produced by Dakota Jackson, Ryan Young, Alex Taylor and Conner Blakley.

Music By KOTA is a 5-piece rock and roll band based in Jackson, Tennessee. The group’s versatility shines time and time again, combining rock, blues, and folk elements in every one of their songs. ABOUT NO REVERSE RECORDS 

Launching in New York City in 2021 after a decade of producing independently and within collaboration, Record Producer Mitchell Walker and Independent Creative Producer Ashley Kate Adams of AKA Studio Productions announced their Independent Record Label, No Reverse Records. Originally meeting in College at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2005 where they spent that summer in Ashley Kate’s late fathers Red Chrysler that would not drive in reverse, only forward. They most recently created a partnership with NY based artist Kyle Lacy & his label, Lacy Records.
