Residents report shooting in neighborhood near Muse Park

JACKSON, Tenn. — Residents of one Jackson neighborhood informed us of what they say was a shooting Sunday in the Hub City.

We were first notified by WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters of a large police presence on Chipwood Drive in east Jackson.

Upon arrival, our crews were told by individuals who claimed they were witnesses that a shooting occurred outside of their residence.

The individual told us they heard what sounded like gunshots and found apparent bullet holes in the side of their house.

The Jackson Police Department was notified and sent officers in response.

We are still awaiting information from JPD concerning this incident.
