The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office’s annual fishing rodeo is set for June 15 at 170 Justice Center Drive in Lexington.

The rodeo will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

There will be prizes for three different age groups for the biggest fish, the smallest fish and the most fish.

You must bring your own fishing poles but bait will be provided by Anderson’s Sporting Goods.

“Just come out and have a good time. We ask though, between now and then, no one come out here to fish, cause we want to preserve the fish for the kids. Afterwards though, we do open it up.” said Jeremiah Adams, investigator and public relations officer for the HCSO.

No fishing experience is required and children can fish for free!
