One More Round of Showers Tonight
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Well it was looking like most of the heavy rain was done for about an hour ago, but a new line of showers is showing up on the radar northeast of Jackson in Carroll and Henry counties. A few more have popped up in Crockett county as well. So it looks like showers will be sticking around for a little longer tonight. We will have the latest forecast coming up right here.

TONIGHT:
Rain showers and cloud cover will likely be sticking for the evening on Wednesday. The rain showers will look to clear out tonight and as of now, we are NOT expecting strong storms or severe weather as the final push of showers move through from this system. Highs on Wednesday reached the low 80s and Wednesday night lows will fall down to the mid to upper 60s. Rain chances on Wednesday evening are 70% but will drop down to 30% later tonight. The winds came out of the southwest but will move more to the west tonight and then the northwest by Thursday morning.

THURSDAY:
Sunshine will return on Thursday as some drier and quieter air will move in behind a cold front. High temperatures could reach the mid 80s depending on the timing of the front but if the front shows up early, we are likely looking at low 80s for a high. Thursday night will be a little cooler with overnight lows dipping down to the low to mid 60s. Skies will be clear Thursday night and the wind will start out of the west before coming more out of the northwest Thursday night. Chances for rain are 20% before the sun comes up Thursday morning.

FRIDAY:
Friday looks like a really nice day across West Tennessee and will probably be the best day of the week. Rain is not in the forecast and we only see a few afternoon clouds. Highs on Friday will make it up to the low 80s and Friday night lows will fall down to around 60°. Friday will not be a humid day as the winds are forecast to come out of the northwest. Chances for rain are 0%.
THE WEEKEND:
The weekend is going to be a tricky forecast until about Thursday once we see how fast the cold front and low pressure take to move out of our area. As of now, we are expecting a mostly dry day on Saturday and a few pop up showers chances late Saturday night and into the day on Sunday. The system does not look like a big severe weather maker even if it impacts us still some, but weak storms or showers will be possible. The winds this weekend will come out of the northwest on Saturday and back to the west on Sunday.
There will be more clouds on Sunday but partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday. Rain chances are 20% on Saturday and 40% on Sunday right now. If you are planning on heading to the CMA fest this weekend, keep an eye on the forecast so you know if you need to bring an umbrella or poncho to the event.
NEXT WEEK:
There could be some showers still lingering around on Monday, but we are expecting a dry spell for the middle of next week. The winds are forecast to come out of the north for the first half of next week as well and that will help keep the temperatures down a bit. Highs will hang around 80° to start the week and morning lows will linger around 60°. Enjoy a few cooler days before another warm up will look to be on tap for the back half of next week and might continue into the following weekend.
FINAL THOUGHT:
Early week storms impacted most of West Tennessee what seems like the 8 week in row dealing with showers and storms across the Mid South. We will see another shot for some rain showers this weekend. There could be a cooler and quieter weather pattern setting up for the beginning of next week before another warm up may try to return by the following weekend. Highs will hang around normal for this time of the year through the weekend at least. No significant severe weather looks to be heading our way but there are still a few chances for showers and storms in the forecast.
