20-year-old arrested, charged with murder in connection to May 14 shooting

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Murder Suspect Arrested 

The Jackson Police Department has arrested and charged Tyler Boykin, age 20, with first-degree murder in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 14, 2024

Police apprehended Boykin as he fled out of a home in East Jackson as they approached to arrest him. Boykin is charged with the killing of Jerquavious Greer, which occurred on May 14th on Dr. F.E. Wright Dr and Roosevelt Parkway. Greer was a passenger when the vehicle he was traveling in was  struck by gunfire.
