Catbird Studio prepares for a summer of fun with events for everyone

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local arts studio and events center is ready for summer.

Catbird Studio is a space to create, learn, and connect. The studio offers classes, photography sessions, and theatre productions.

Plus, it’s available to rent and boasts the first mural in north Jackson.

This summer, Catbird is hosting more than 20 camps with different themes like art, musical theatre, and voice.

The ages for these camps range from 2 to 18 years old, but Catbird is not just for children. There are also comedy events, karaoke nights, concerts, and more.

“It’s just a really unique experience that I just really feel like you can’t get anywhere else that we’re providing and I’m just, if you haven’t been to a Catbird Concert, I really encourage you to do that because it is something seriously special,” said Suzzane Gillis, owner of Catbird Studio.

Gillis’ goal is to benefit Jackson and creatives who want a space to do what they love.
