City of Jackson prepares for annual Bowls for the Hungry fundraiser
JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson Ceramics presents their 2nd annual Bowls for the Hungry charity fundraiser.
It will be held Saturday, June 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jackson Fairgrounds.
This event will feature catered dinner and showcase the talents of local students and artists who will craft ceramic and pottery artwork for auction.
There will also be a live band and dancing.
This unique charity initiative aims to unite the community in raising awareness and funds for those facing homelessness and hunger.
“We’re called to love our neighbor and there’s so many of our neighbors who are struggling so, ultimately, the purpose of this event is to bring us all a little bit closer and to help each other out,” said Allyssa Miller, ceramics instructor.
Miller also shares that it’s important to step up for our community and that 1 in 5 children in Jackson and the Madison County area don’t have access to sufficient food.
