Willis Harold Uzzle

Willis UzzleWillis Harold Uzzle, 90, of Fulton, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, at AHC Van Ayer in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at First Pentecostal Church in Union City. Rev. Dwayne Uzzle and Rev. Billy Uzzle will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens near Fulton.

Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Richard Conley, Richard Conley, Jr., Nicolas Yates, Drey Scott, Brentley Uzzle and Rev. Paul Uzzle, Jr.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willis was born March 10, 1934, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, son of the late Rev. Phillip Bennett and Opal Mae (Mercer) Uzzle. He married Leveda (Renfrow) Uzzle December 22, 1951. Willis served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a pipe fitter from U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana after 30 years of service. Willis enjoyed attending church, being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Union City.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Leveda Uzzle of Fulton, Kentucky; two daughters, Peggy Conley and husband Richard of Cayce, Kentucky and Doris McClain of Union City; one son, Jeff Uzzle of Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Renee Walters and husband Gary of Selmer, Richard Conley, Jr. and wife Anita of Portage, Indiana, Jill Scott and husband Charlie of Humboldt and Hannah Uzzle of Queens, New York; four great grandchildren; and one brother,Paul Uzzle and wife Frances of Central City, Kentucky.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Dockery; and three brothers, Rev. James Uzzle, Darrel Uzzle and Rev. Eugene Uzzle.
