Velva Jean Storey

Velva Jean Storey, 85, of Union City passed away 10:10 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Colten Aaron, Nathan Piccirilli, James David Easterwood, Kirk Storey, Jonathon Easterwood and Caden Easterwood.

Jean was born November 25, 1938, in Lee County, Arkansas, daughter of the late Norman and Ella (Chipman) French. She married J.W. Storey February 20, 1981. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, J.W. Storey of Union City; three daughters, Kathy James and Karen James both of Maumelle, Arkansas and Brenda Zeno of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Annette Ferrell and husband Bo of Hartsville; one step-son, Jimmy Storey and wife Geneva of Union City; eleven grandchildren; and twenty one great grandchildren.
