Boil water notice issued for Lexington Utilities customers
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for customers of Lexington Utilities.
The notice was issued Tuesday afternoon, affecting customers near downtown Lexington who were without water or experienced low water pressure earlier in the day.
Lexington Utilities says this was due to a water main break.
Until notified, customers are advised to boil any water that’s intended for human consumption.
Customers may experience air in the lines and dingy water while crews work to resolve the issue.
