Jackson police investigate apparent suicide at JMCGH
JACKSON, Tenn. — An incident involving one individual occurred at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on Tuesday.
We were informed by a WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipster around 10:30 a.m. of an alleged shooting in front of JMCGH’s emergency room.
Upon arrival, we noticed heavy presence from the Jackson Police Department. Undercover police officers were also at the scene.
West Tennessee Healthcare’s security had the emergency room entrance toward Skyline Drive blocked off.
We were informed by the Jackson Police Department that they are investigating what appears to be a suicide and that there is no safety risk to the public.
