‘Lily’s Garden’ in Newbern celebrates family with gardening

NEWBERN, Tenn. — “Planting a seed is hope for tomorrow.” The story of a local garden inspired by family.

Jessica Duncan is the owner of ‘Lily’s Garden’ in Newbern.  Duncan started her flower farm in January of 2023 and was inspired by her daughter, Lillian.

Duncan wanted to start a small garden for Lily to grow alongside.

She planned to call it Lily’s Garden and place a little sign next to it. That idea grew into the garden it is today.

“This year we decided to expand and turn it into a ‘u-pick’ along with the farmer’s market. So, we have the ‘U-pick’ here, and I have zenyas, don frina, basil, lemon basil,” said Duncan.

Lily’s Garden is located at 12-65 Lanes Ferry Road in Newbern.

Each car must purchase at least one jar to visit the garden with each 16 ounce jar costing $15 dollars.

Duncan shares that her dream for Lily’s Garden is that it becomes a sanctuary for all who visit.
