Madison County Fire Rescue‘s 11th annual Firefighters Freedom Festival is Thursday!
Hosted at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport, gates open at 4 p.m. with the ceremony starting at 5 p.m.
There’ll be kids rides, special events and plenty of food with 18 food vendors attending. Options range from candied apples to tacos to BBQ.
Brian Kemp, fire inspector for Madison County Fire Department, tells us what to expect.
“Kimberlie Helton Band will be here. They’re the showcase band this year and they’ll be here putting on a good show for us tomorrow. There’ll be another band or two that’ll be playing along with them at different times so yes there’ll be live music the whole night and good entertainment, good family fun,” said Kemp.
There’ll also be a spectacular fireworks display to enjoy at dark. Rain or not, the show is expected to begin at 9 p.m.
