Hub City youth participate in a basketball camp
JACKSON, Tenn.—A sports camp is held for youth in the Hub City.
The Bounce Back Youth Basketball Camp was held today at T.R. White Sportsplex located at 304 North Hayes Street in Jackson.
The event was held from 7:30 this morning until 2 this afternoon.
Kids from ages 6-years-old to 17-years-old could attend the camp and participate in the fun.
The camp offered basic basketball training and players could also participate in various basketball drills.
The camp also featured motivational speakers to uplift and encourage the players.
Participants were provided with snacks, lunch and were also given a special t-shirt to take home.
“This is all about just giving the kids an opportunity to build they self-esteem, build they character, and build they confidence,” said Johnny Dodd, City Councilman.
The basketball camp was free for kids to attend.
