William Wray (Billy) Greer

William Wray (Billy) Greer, age 80 of Bemis, passed away on July 6, 2024.

Billy was born on December 26, 1943 to the late Rev. W.M. Greer and Willie Odis Vaughan Greer. He retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation in 2005. He enjoyed hunting and being with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Greer Warren and Sue Greer Medlin.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Riley Greer; his children, Stephanie Greer Wray (Darrell) and Greg Greer; his granddaughter, Amanda Jones (Ryan); his great grandson, Weston Jones; and his sister, Shirley Greer Mullins.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Billy Greer will be conducted on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Cave Springs Cemetery in Henderson, TN with Rev. James Keeton officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
