JSCC’s new athletic director shares gratitude, excitement for his role

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson State Community College’s new athletic director shares gratitude for his position.

Dr. Kevin Lynum, has over a decade of high-level coaching experience and is excited for this new chapter at Green Jay Athletics.

He discussed his excitement at Ayers Auditorium inside the Ned R. McWherter Center Tuesday morning.

Lynum shares that this position is a dream come true, especially considering the potential of the JSCC program and institution.

He also shares his thoughts on the Jackson community at large.

“I’m truly happy. My family’s truly happy. These are some truly genuine, caring, loving people. I tell you, you can’t pull out of this parking lot without being waved to five times and for that I’m grateful,” said Lynum.

The first thing Dr. Lynum has implemented in his short time as athletic director is a camp registration portal where people across the country can sign up for camps at JSCC.
