Poplar Heights Baptist Church to host 2nd annual ‘Recovery Roundup’

JACKSON, Tenn. — Poplar Heights Baptist Church and Day of Recovery prepare for the 2nd annual Recovery Roundup.

Hosted at the church on 1980 Hollywood Dr, the event will be July 27.

Church leaders say it’s a day of testimonies on how the lord can help in overcoming addictions.

It’s a free event open to the public with lunch provided.

Organizers say the goal is to bring the recovery community together to share the hope that god can bring

“You don’t have to be a drug addict or an alcoholic, you know? We go through this life and we deal with these hurts, habits and hang-ups, like they say, celebrate recovery and life is just tough, you know, it really is and it’s just–it’s gonna be a great day,” said David Young, founder for Day of Recovery.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. but attendees are more than welcome to come and go as needed.
