Front to Pass Tonight, One More Rain Chance, Don’t Count of Much
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
We have seen multiple rounds of heavy rain showers in Arkansas move into West Tennessee and disappear faster than grandmas fried chicken on a Sunday afternoon. We still have one more shot tonight as the cold front will move through. After that, rain chances look slim until late Sunday. Catch the entire weekend forecast and find out just how many days this cooler weather is going to sticking around for right here.

TONIGHT:
A cold front is on the way tonight and that will bring one last chance for some showers and weak storms as well as some cooler weather for a few days. Skies were partly cloudy but will become mostly cloudy later tonight. Conditions started out humid but drier air will be arriving behind the front too. Highs on Wednesday reached into the upper 80s and Wednesday night lows will drop back down to around 70°. We are not expecting severe weather tonight and rain chances are only 30%. The winds will shift from west and then to the northwest overnight into Thursday morning.

THURSDAY:
As the front stall out across the Mid South, it will likely keep shower and storms chances around for our Thursday in West Tennessee south of Jackson as it stalls out just to the south of us. Severe weather is not expected but a couple of weak storms cannot be ruled out along the Mississippi border. Chances for rain are only 20% on Thursday. Behind the mid week front, highs will only reach the mid 80s on Thursday and Thursday night lows will fall down to the mid 60s to kick off our Friday. Skies will be partly cloudy but will try to break up some Thursday night. The winds are forecast to come out of the northeast on Thursday.

FRIDAY:
Rain chances are not in the forecast as of now for Friday. Friday will also remain cool with highs in the mid 80s. Friday night lows will again fall down to the mid 60s to kick off the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny and the winds are expected to come out of the north keeping the humidity down some. Friday look to be a pretty nice day for all of us.
THE WEEKEND:
A cooler weekend looks to be on the way for West Tennessee. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Saturday and upper 80s on Sunday. Although a few showers cannot be ruled out Saturday night, rain chances look to be a little higher on Sunday, especially late in the day. Skies will be mostly sunny on Saturday and partly cloudy on Sunday. The winds are still expected to come out of the north this weekend and may try to shift back to the east late in the weekend. We will be watching the forecast closely this week and hope to have a better idea on the timing and storm chances over the next few days.
NEXT WEEK:
Mostly cloudy skies and some showers and storms will look to impact our weather in West Tennessee early next week. Some storms will be possible but it does not look like a big severe weather maker for the Mid South. Rain chances are at least 40% for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will only reach the mid 80s with morning lows hanging around the mid to upper 60s. The winds are forecast to come our of the south or southwest and be light early next week.
FINAL THOUGHT:
After another very hot start to the work week in West Tennessee, cooler and drier weather will move back in during the middle and end of the work week. Rain chances will also try to return in the middle of the week and there could be more showers or storms later this weekend as well. Southwest winds will be replaced by northerly winds as well toward the back half of the work week. Severe weather seems unlikely for most of us this week and the tropics are looking quiet as of now. We will see how much longer that lasts for through.
