JHA’s Family Expo provides opportunities to community members

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Housing Authority held a Family Expo at Lincoln Courts on Wednesday.

The event brought together JHA’s partners in order to promote upper mobility and share information on available services.

Partners present included the Jackson Police Department, the Fire Department, United Way, the Financial Empowerment Center, and more.

There was food, cash giveaways, and prizes for those who interacted with each vendor.

“What I’m most excited about, number one, is the opportunity for our clients. The second is the partnership here in Jackson is just awesome. We called and I think we got over 30, 40 vendors out there ready here to partner with us to help promote upper mobility for our clients here,” said Mark Reid, executive director for JHA.

Reid says this event also gave JHA’s administrative and office staff the chance to meet service partners and clients.
