Quiet For a Couple Days, Shower Chances Back this Weekend
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
It has been a cooler and less humid day for our Thursday in West Tennessee. The quiet weather will continue tonight and stick around for our Friday. Showers & storm chances will return this weekend but there will be more chances for rain early next week across the Mid South. Catch the full weekend hour by hour breakdown coming up here.
TONIGHT:
As the front stalled out across the Mid South, it kept a few shower and storm chances around for our Thursday in West Tennessee south of Jackson. A couple of weak storms cannot be ruled out along the Mississippi border this evening but most of will not see anything at all. Chances for rain are only 20% on Thursday southeast of Madison county. Behind the mid week front, highs only reached the mid 80s on Thursday and Thursday night lows will fall down to the mid 60s to kick off our Friday. Skies were be partly cloudy and will likely remain that was for our Thursday night. The winds are forecast to come out of the northeast on Thursday evening before becoming calm for the most part tonight.

FRIDAY:
Rain chances are not in the forecast as of now for Friday. Friday will also remain cool with highs in the mid 80s. Friday night lows will again fall down to the mid 60s to kick off the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny and the winds are expected to come out of the north keeping the humidity down some. Friday look to be a pretty nice day for all of us.

THE WEEKEND:
A cooler weekend looks to be on the way for West Tennessee. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Saturday and upper 80s on Sunday. Although a few showers cannot be ruled out Saturday evening/night, rain chances look to be a little higher on Sunday, especially late in the day. Skies will be mostly sunny on Saturday and partly cloudy on Sunday. The winds are still expected to come out of the north this weekend and may try to shift back to the east late in the weekend. We will be watching the forecast closely this week and hope to have a better idea on the timing and storm chances over the next few days.

NEXT WEEK:
Mostly cloudy skies and some showers and storms will look to impact our weather in West Tennessee early next week. Some storms will be possible but it does not look like a big severe weather maker for the Mid South. Rain chances are at least 40% for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will only reach the mid 80s with morning lows hanging around the mid to upper 60s. The winds are forecast to come our of the south or southwest and be light early next week.
FINAL THOUGHT:
After another very hot start to the work week in West Tennessee, cooler and drier weather will move back in during the middle and end of the work week. Rain chances will also try to return in the middle of the week and there could be more showers or storms later this weekend as well. Southwest winds will be replaced by northerly winds as well toward the back half of the work week. Severe weather seems unlikely for most of us this week and the tropics are looking quiet as of now. We will see how much longer that lasts for through.
