The Icehouse of Jackson celebrates its grand opening

JACKSON, Tenn. — A new business opens in the Hub City bringing in Louisiana, Texas and Michigan influences for the community to enjoy.

The Icehouse of Jackson held their grand opening on Monday, July 15.

This is the Cothren’s second business, with the first located in Oakland.

The Icehouse of Jackson can be found in downtown Jackson beside the Madison County Chancery Court.

They offer a wide range of beer from different parts of the country along with in house smoked brisket and chicken.

Aside from the smoked items, their menu offers flatbreads, house made beer cheese, and their famous chicken salad.

“Like our chicken salad sandwich its his recipe its his recipe and got a little bit of a Cajun flare and from Michigan you got the beer and you’ve got the flatbreads and the honey hot,” said Dina Cothren, owner.

In the near future they hope to have live music performed.

Their business hours are Monday through Thursday 11a.m. to 8p.m. and Friday to Saturday 10a.m. to 9p.m.
