Traffic redirected as police, SWAT teams gather outside home in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — We bring you a developing story regarding an incident that occurred earlier Tuesday afternoon in east Jackson on Whitehall Street.

Tuesday, we were informed of a heavy police presence on Whitehall Street around 5 p.m.

Upon arrival, we discovered Jackson police, as well as the SWAT team, on the scene. Emergency medical services were also present at the scene.

Officers were seen redirecting traffic at the intersection of Whitehall and Jackson Street.

Members of SWAT were spotted going in and out of a home as many residents of the community watched nearby.

There were also several undercover cars present.

We’ve reached out to the Jackson Police Department and are awaiting more details on this incident.
