Rain Lingers in the Forecast, Heat Back Next Week?
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Wednesday brought another round of pop ups showers with a few rumbles of thunder. The pattern keeping the showers around is expected to continue this week and last into the weekend. Severe weather or big storms are not expected. We could dry out next week and it looks like some heat could also be on the way. We will get to it all coming up here.

TONIGHT:
Another round of pop up showers and weak storms developed in the morning and afternoon for our Wednesday. Chances for rain will decrease this evening and we will be mostly dry tonight. The showers are still developing near a stalled out stationary boundary that will not move much over the next 48 hours. Skies were mostly cloudy all day Wednesday and mostly cloudy skies will stick around overnight. Highs made it into the low to mid 80s and Wednesday night lows will again drop down to around 70°. The winds were light most of the day and will be calm for the most part again tonight.

THURSDAY:
Thursday will again reach the mid 80s and Thursday night lows will again fall down to around 70°. There will continue to be a chance for a few pop up showers or storms with chances again around 40%. Not everyone is going to see rain but those that do, could get a quick 1/4″ to 1/2″ if you get hit with one of those stationary pop up storms. The winds are expected to come out of the south for most of the day on Thursday and the skies in general will be partly cloudy.

FRIDAY:
Chances for rain will be lower on Friday than earlier in the weekend but a few may pop up again in the afternoon hours. Highs on Friday will reach the mid to upper 80s and Friday night lows will fall down to the low 70s. The winds are forecast to come out of the east on Friday on the backside of a low pressure system that will pass to our south. Expect partly cloudy skies on Friday.
THE WEEKEND:
The weekend will be a little bit more humid than that work week. The winds will come out of the south and that will keep our morning temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Highs will also reach the upper 80s this weekend and a couple 90s cannot be ruled out. The heat and humidity will also lead to a few pop up showers and storms. Chances for rain this weekend looks higher on Sunday than on Saturday. If you have weekend plans and are hoping to beat the rain, Saturday is looking like the best shot at staying dry. Expect a mostly sunny day on Saturday with partly cloudy skies on Sunday.
NEXT WEEK:
Showers and pop up storms will linger in the forecast to kick off next week. The showers will taper off as the week goes on and the heat will look to return in the middle of the week as well. Highs on Monday will make it up to around 90° but mid 90s will look to make an appearance in the middle of the week. Morning lows will start in the low 70s but reach the mid 70s quickly in the middle of the week. Showers are likely on Monday and Tuesday but might clear out some the later the work week progresses.
