Residents take part in the 7th annual Clean-up Day
JACKSON, Tenn.—One event invites Jackson residents to bring out the old and make room for the new.
Today, the City of Jackson’s Health and Sanitation Department hosts its annual Clean-up Day.
The event began at 8 this morning at the Public Works Yard located at 164 Conalco Drive.
It offers residents the opportunity to get rid of larger bulk items including mattresses, tires, furniture, and other items over 50 pounds. Some items, like those containing refrigerant or coolant were prohibited, and a limit of 4 tires was imposed.
Paper shredding was also available by Direct Shred during the clean up and residents had until noon today to dispose of their unwanted items.
This is the seventh year the Clean-up Day was held in Jackson.
