‘Barber School 1’ offers free back to school haircuts
JACKSON, Tenn. — One annual event returns to prepare students for school in a special way.
‘Barber School 1‘ is providing free haircuts to children 13 and under during this back to school season.
Located at 77 Carriage House Drive, this generous program began Monday and lasts through August 3.
The hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The goal is to give back to the community. Refreshments will also be provided.
“We process anywhere from 250 to 300 people in that week’s time for haircuts and we also do this when we go on Christmas break. We go on Christmas break, after Christmas break, whatever, we do the same identical thing,” said Lamar Hobson, owner of Barber School 1.
