1930 – 2024

Sadie Vaughn Dunn, age 94, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of
the late Albert Royce Dunn, departed this life Thursday morning, August 1,
2024 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.
Sadie was born April 6, 1930 in Collierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the
late Andrew Granville Vaughn and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Vaughn. She
graduated from Collierville High School and was a member of Emanuel
Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Vaughn; two sisters, Etheleen Vaughn Smith
and Mable Elizabeth Vaughn Noe; and three brothers, A.G. Vaughn, Jr.,
Jack Lanier Vaughn and Clifford Vaughn.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by two daughters, Emily Dunn Waller (Billy) and
Sharon D. “Sherry” Blanton (Kel); her son, Albert Lyle Dunn (Tammy); six
grandchildren, William Royce Waller, James Andrew Simons (Brandy),
John Michael Simons (Jacque), David Benjamin Dunn (Whitney), Jessica
Alysun Dunn Garrett (Wesley) and Adam Dunn; and eleven great-
grandchildren.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Dunn will be at 1 P.M. Friday, August 2, 2024
at Bethlehem Cemetery in Moscow with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of
Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be William R. Waller, Andy
Simons, Mike Simons, Adam Dunn, Dana Blanton and Wesley Garrett.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Memorial
Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to the charity of
the donor’s choice.
