WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

It still feels around 110° this afternoon across West Tennessee. It has been a tad breezy today as well as a cold front is getting closer. The front could usher in a few storms tonight with the best chances being north of Jackson. Cooler and drier air is expected to move in for the weekend. Catch the latest on the storm chances and we are watching a new potential tropical system in the Caribbean as well, all right here.

TONIGHT:
The heat wave will continued for Thursday with highs again reaching the mid to upper 90s. The winds will stayed out of the southwest keeping the humidity high and a feels like temperature between 118-113° during the afternoon and evening hours. Rain showers and a few storms may try to return later tonight north of Jackson but we are not expecting widespread coverage. Thursday night lows will drop down to the mid 70s. Skies started out mostly sunny but expect partly cloudy skies tonight. The winds will continue to come out of the southwest tonight before changing direction behind the front on Friday.

FRIDAY:
A few more clouds will develop during the day on Friday and a cold front will try to approach later in the day. This will bring some showers and maybe a few storms with it as it passes by. Highs will still reach the mid 90s before the front moves through. Friday night lows will fall down to the mid 70s. Temperatures will be a little cooler over the weekend. The winds will change from the southwest to the west and eventually to the northwest on Saturday. Rain chances are 30% as of now on Friday.

THE WEEKEND:
There could be a few lingering showers into the day on Saturday but we are not expecting much. Any showers that linger on Saturday will not be sticking around for our Sunday. There will be a few more clouds on Saturday, especially early in the day before a mostly sunny Sunday returns. The winds are forecast to come out of the north this weekend behind the front and that will keep the humidity down some as well. We will not be seeing any heat advisories this weekend in West Tennessee. Highs will still reach the low 90s and morning lows will be in the low 70s this weekend. Chances for rain on Saturday are 20% and 10% on Sunday.
