LIFELINE donor celebrates 100 gallon milestone, 42 years of volunteering
JACKSON, Tenn. — LIFELINE Blood Services is celebrating one member for breaking records in donation.
Sharon Clayton is honored at LIFELINE for reaching her 100 gallon blood donation milestone.
This remarkable achievement underscores her unwavering commitment to saving lives and making a profound impact on the community.
Because of Clayton’s achievement, LIFELINE Blood Services hosted a special recognition for her today.
“Sharon is our first donor to reach the 100th gallon milestone and this is a really big deal for us. This is a significant milestone. She’s been a donor for us since 1982,” said Melinda Reid, marketing manager for LIFELINE Blood Services.
Clayton explains what makes volunteering so special to her.
“When they hug your neck and they say thank you so much for saving my life. Takes more than blood, but I mean it’s a component. This is a component of it and I love doing that. That’s what it’s all about, the volunteering,” said Sharon Clayton, milestone donor.
