Ferrell Nipp, 95, of Union City passed away 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Obion County Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Kyle McClung will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Ferrell was born September 20, 1928, in Obion County, son of the late Edward Arie Nipp, Sr. and the late Kitty (Ferrell) Nipp. He married Sue (Gaddie) Nipp November 4, 1950. She preceded him in death February 18, 2023. Ferrell served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the former Reelfoot Packing Company after 42 years of service.

He is survived by one daughter, Vicki McClung and husband Kyle of Erie, Pennsylvania; two sons, Bob Nipp and wife Joyce of Bartlett and Steven Nipp and wife Wendi of Union City; one sister, Maurice McKinnis of Union City; five grandchildren, Becky Hicks and husband Bo of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Paul Nipp of Bellingham, Washington, Jennifer Crowley and husband John of Madison, Alabama, Rick Nipp of Paducah, Kentucky and Kati Hankins of Erie, Pennsylvania; and five great grandchildren, Audrey Hicks, Charlie Hankins, Jack Crowley, Maddie Crowley and Bridget Crowley.

He was also preceded by a twin brother in infancy, Terrell Nipp; two other brothers, Charles Alton Nipp and Arie Nipp; and three sisters, Christine Swaney, Daurice Denton and Dorothy McCullough.
