Firefighters respond to fire in Pinson

PINSON, Tenn.—A local fire was spotted this evening on Highway 45 South in Pinson.

According to Madison County Fire Chief Eric Turner, they received a 911 call stating that a building on 45 South across from the Exxon gas station was on fire.

Upon arrival, the department witnessed heavy smoke coming from the building and they were able to extinguish it within minutes.

The building was unoccupied at the time.

It was also declared a total loss but no firefighters or civilians were harmed.

The origin of the fire is unknown at this time and remains under investigation.
