1958 – 2024

Carolyn Marie Hannah Chambers, age 65, resident of Arlington,
Tennessee, departed this life Monday morning, August 12, 2024 at
Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Carolyn was born August 13, 1958 in Memphis, the daughter of the late
Claude Leon Hannah and Marie Louise Parrish Hannah. She graduated
from Bolton High School in 1975 and received her Bachelor of Science
degree from Memphis State University in 1992. Following college, she did
medical research. She then began her career as a deputy with Shelby
County Sheriff’s Department and was employed for 25 years before her
retirement.
Carolyn was a lifelong member of Arlington Church of Christ. She loved
spending time with her family and having meals together, watching movies
and working on many restoration projects.
Ms. Chambers is survived by her daughter, Jessica Davis (Adam); her son,
William Earl Chambers III (Angie); five sisters, Claudia Horton (George),
Debra Wiseman (Dickie), Freeda Hannah, Ruby Hannah and Trisha
Hannah Jackson; three brothers, Steve Hannah (Connie), Wally Delaney
(Betty Carole) and Bill Hannah; five grandchildren, Austin Hambick, Paxton
Hambick, Xander Chambers, Chloe Chambers and Adam Davis; two great-
grandchildren, Mason and Luna; and a host of nieces, nephews and
friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers,
Henry Edward Hannah, Donnie Leon “Don” Hannah and Michael Allen
Hannah.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Alzheimer’s Association,
