Car crash in north Jackson blocks traffic
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are investigating a crash that happened earlier Thursday evening.
Several of our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters called us regarding a crash along North Highland Avenue near Skyline Drive around 7 p.m.
When our crew arrived, they found a vehicle that had apparently struck a utility pole, and traffic from the southbound lanes of North Highland was blocked.
Police and first responders were also on the scene.
Officers told us the crash involved one vehicle and there were minor injuries.
Jackson Energy Authority crews were also seen working to put up a new utility pole.
There’s no immediate word on the cause of the crash.
