Dawg Daze 5K to raise money for St. Jude

MILAN, Tenn. — Lace up those running shoes! A fundraiser is taking place for the ‘Running on Empty’ St. Jude Heroes Team of Milan.

The race will be held Saturday at the Milan City Park paved trail. It will kick off at the park office.

Registration starts at 7 a.m., the 1 mile walk and run will be at 7:30 a.m., and the 5K will start at 8 a.m. that morning.

Online registration closes Thursday at midnight.

All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“If you sign up before midnight tonight, $25 for either event, and on race day, it’s $30,” said Robin Robbins, director of for Dawg Daze 5K.

Male and female overall winners, masters winners, and grandmasters winners will be given an award.

Medals will be awarded for top 3 male and female finishers in individual age groups.

All walkers will receive a participant medal.

Refreshments and drawings for St. Jude door prizes will be provided after the race.
