Horse and buggy involved in morning wreck

MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — First responders worked a wreck Thursday morning involving a horse and buggy.

According to a preliminary report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. on State Route 142 in McNairy County.

The report shows that a 19-year-old Tennessee driver was traveling east in a Ford F-250 when the vehicle struck a “horse and buggy.”

According to the report, the 20-year-old operator of the buggy was injured in the crash. Authorities have not confirmed whether or not any animals were harmed.

The report states that no charges have been filed.
