One local church hosts its Rededication Sunday

JACKSON, Tenn.—A local church celebrates a milestone while rededicating itself to serving the community in the future.

Northside Church celebrates its Rededication Sunday today.

The day is to recognize and honor the recent renovations of the sanctuary and other ministry areas of our building on the 25th anniversary of its completion.

Initially started as Northside Methodist Church in June 1959, Northside Church has grown from 72 members in a small two-story house just across the highway from its current location, to a congregation of over 900 using two large worship spaces.

Church leaders say they are thankful for their heritage.

“One thing I have discovered in my 20 years here at Northside is that Northside is a church that is a safe place, a safe place for people to come with their baggage and their stuff and to be welcomed and to not be judged and to have people walk along side them as they’re going through the good times and the bad times,” said Daphne Moses, Pastor of Administration, Ministries, Northside Church.

Church leaders say they are a non-denominational fellowship.

Northside Church is located at 2571 North Highland Avenue.

Their various ministries serve the needs of people not only in Jackson, TN, but around the world.
