TNHTA holds fundraiser in downtown Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association is in the Hub City holding their quarterly meeting.
The association represents the entire state for hotels, restaurants, and attractions.
Monday evening members met at Hub City Brewing in downtown Jackson to hold a fundraiser for their Political Action Committee.
We spoke to Brooks Shaw, who is on the board representing Jackson and other parts of West Tennessee.
Shaw says they’re advocating to get laws passed that are beneficial for people who own hotels, restaurants or attractions, the employees who work at them, and the guests who enjoy them.
“All of it goes towards advocacy efforts. We have an on staff lobbyist that works with the legislatures and helps to craft legislation that protects business owners throughout the state and the hospitality and tourism industry,” said Shaw.
From September 25th to the 27th, the association will hold their Governor’s Conference on Hospitality and Tourism in Chattanooga.
