‘First Friday Art Walk’ returns to downtown Jackson starting Sep. 6

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Arts Council is bringing back Friday Art Walks in downtown Jackson.

This is the time for artists to showcase their work and sell some of their favorite pieces.

You can expect vendors, live music, and food trucks.

And if you’re an artist, you can still sign up to participate.

You can attend the first Friday of every month in September, October, and November.

Friday Art Walks are held in downtown Jackson’s Arts District and will operate in two zones.

Zone one is on East Main Street and zone 2 is at the Jackson Walk.

“We have mostly visual artist and so we have some artist that have signed up before Rose Newhouse, Abby Wolfzorn, Josh Blankenship. Some really well known artist Samantha Wood, and so many more and new artist trying it out for the first time. So, it’s really really cool to see all the different types of art that we have out there,” said Erin Eller, office manager for Jackson Arts Council.
