Baby and Kids Fest returns to the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.—Today, families were able to learn valuable information, while also having a good time.
A Baby and Kids Festival took place earlier today.
It was held at the Jackson Fairgrounds and admission was free.
Organizers say this was a fun, educational event for children of all ages, their parents, expectant parents, and the community.
The event is held every other year, and has been going on for close to 30 years.
With more than 70 vendors present, attendees were able to learn about local services.
“We’re doing car seat checks. So important that we make sure our children are safe in their car seats. Then we have lots of fun things. We have our pet therapy, so the dogs have been reading books with our children,” said Deena Kail, Executive Director of the Women and Children’s Center.
This year the theme was ‘Once Upon a Story,’ so there was a special focus on reading and children’s books.
