One Jackson church honors local heroes
JACKSON, Tenn.—One community is showing respect by honoring our local heroes.
Today was First Responders Appreciation Day at the East Jackson Church of Christ.
It was a community-wide event with free food, fun, and great fellowship with local first responders.
The first responders also brought their vehicles and equipment to put on display for the community to see.
“It’s an honor honestly for the community, the church community to invite us out, and show their appreciation, but most of all to pray for us, pray with us, and show the support of the first responders,” said Chief Don Friddle, Jackson Fire Department.
Chief Friddle says it’s nice to be recognized this way, but it’s also an honor to be able to serve his community.
