Six new providers join West Tennessee Medical Group’s pulmonology team

JACKSON, Tenn. — A medical group hosts a dedication ceremony to commemorate their expansion.

West Tennessee Healthcare and West Tennessee Medical Group honor their flourishing pulmonology team.

Leaders announced 6 additional providers that are joining their pulmonary clinic.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory system and lungs.

“Access is a key thing for the health system. We want to make sure that when people need a pulmonologist, that we can provide that for the entire region but based here in Jackson, in Madison County,” said Tina Prescott, chief operating officer for West Tennessee Healthcare.

If you’re a smoker, experience any shortness of breath, have COPD, the clinic focuses on lung cancer, and can screen for that, in addition to prevention and treatment.

The biggest tip from clinic leaders is to stop smoking.
