Several are charged with sex trafficking, other crimes following undercover operation
JACKSON, Tenn. — Details emerge regarding a sex trafficking bust here in West Tennessee.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, along with several other agencies, recently conducted an undercover operation. From August 29 to August 31, nine men were arrested for alleged human trafficking.
According to the TBI, the nine men were charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act and booked into the Madison County jail. This undercover operation was aimed to address human trafficking in the Jackson area.
Along with these nine men, three other individuals were arrested on felony charges of possession of meth with intent to sell, deliver, or manufacture, possession of schedule 1 drugs and aggravated robbery.
Aside from those arrests, 12 individuals who were potential victims of sex trafficking were offered services through a human trafficking victim service operation, however some had warrants which resulted in additional arrests.
